Vannas scissors are fine, precision surgical instruments primarily used in microsurgery, particularly in ophthalmic, neurological, and vascular procedures. Named after Dr. Jonas Vannas, these scissors are specially designed for delicate dissection and cutting of fine tissues under a microscope.
They are typically made from high-grade stainless steel or titanium for corrosion resistance, durability, and lightweight handling. Vannas scissors feature fine, sharp blades—often curved or straight—and have a spring-action handle that allows for precise, one-handed operation without a finger ring, making them ideal for high-precision environments.
